Nipissing First Nation:
Beaucage Park (Miskwaabik) Feasibility Study (2025)
IN COLLABORATION WITH WHITE OTTER CONSULTING AND SPRUBCELAB INC.
KLB Consulting was honoured to support Nipissing First Nation in the development of a comprehensive feasibility study for the future of Beaucage Park, known in Anishinaabemowin as Miskwaabik. This underutilized site presented an opportunity to create a culturally significant, economically sustainable, and environmentally resilient community space.
The project was grounded in meaningful engagement with NFN members, including community meetings, guided site visits, and conversations with Elders and youth. Traditional knowledge, cultural values, and community priorities were central to every stage of the process. KLB’s interdisciplinary team conducted a full site assessment, along with detailed economic and environmental analysis, to explore multiple development scenarios.
The result is a strategic roadmap that outlines how Miskwaabik can be transformed into a thriving community hub. The plan emphasizes cultural revitalization, sustainable land use, and improved quality of life for NFN members, while honouring the land and those who have stewarded it for generations.
