  • Guest Speaker Alongside White Otter Consulting | July 3rd & July 10th, 2025

    Following the success of last years session, Kyra (KLB Consulting) and Jaymie (White Otter Consulting) have once again been invited to serve as guest speakers for Audible’s Indigenous Writers Group. Recognized for their deep expertise in grant writing, Kyra and Jaymie will continue to share essential tools and strategies to help Indigenous writers strengthen their proposals and secure funding for their creative projects.

    As a board member of the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO), Kyra now leads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. In this role, she has had the opportunity to guide important conversations around the committee’s goals, highlight initiatives currently underway, and identify key areas that still require attention. Her leadership is helping to shape a more inclusive and representative future for economic development across Ontario.

  • Guest Speaker Alongside White Otter Consulting | July 11th, 2024

    Kyra Knapp (KLB Consulting) and Jaymie Consulting (White Otter Consulting) recently served as guest speakers for Audible's Indigenous writers group. They provided invaluable insights into the art of grant writing, sharing essential tips and tricks to enhance grant proposals. The session focused on identifying suitable grants, crafting persuasive narratives, and avoiding common pitfalls. Both seasoned and emerging Indigenous writers benefited from the knowledge and strategies discussed, helping them secure funding and advance their literary projects. This event offered a unique opportunity for participants to gain valuable insights and connect with fellow Indigenous writers.

  • Keynote Address | November 21st, 2023

    This year’s Camping in Ontario Annual Conference is all about helping business owners continue to succeed and grow with various perspective lenses in regards to inclusivity and diversity. 

    Kyra was asked to be a Keynote Address and discuss the power of Experiential Tourism, the ways in which it can transform a business, and how we can make tourism a force for good within Ontario.

    In this episode of “FutureLabs: Own Your Future” with Prepr, Kyra discusses various aspects of tourism and the sharing economy. It explores the impact of regenerative tourism and the need for improvements.

    Throughout this episode, Kyra and the other guest speakers examine how rural areas can benefit from platforms like Airbnb, the effects of regulations on accommodation platforms, and the challenges faced by restaurants during economic downtimes. This episode focuses on the need to improve the tourism industry within rural areas and how hospitality plays an important role in doing so.

    In this episode of The Boiling Point’s “Leading With Values and Collaboration” Podcast, we get to learn about Kyra’s journey to becoming a leader in the Economic Development and Experiential Tourism Industry.

    Throughout the episode, Kyra discusses her background and the journey that led her to start her own business in economic development as well as her passion for tourism. She shares some of the ways to collaborate and have the self-confidence and self-esteem to make new connections within the industry. She also discusses her opinion on economic development (and how it was broken) as well as the city of Leamington in which she lives and the diversity it has.

    In the first episode of Junction Consulting’s, eLearningU Podcast, Kyra was asked to break down what Experiential Tourism really means and how to properly execute a marketing campaign for a successful tourism experience.

    During this episode, Kyra discusses the experiential marketing for “From Tree to Table,” where David Schonberger, a Carpenter turned Tourism Operator guides guests through an immersive and sustainable charcuterie board creation. Kyra also highlights the power marketing has when it comes to turning an event into a true experience.
