Mādahòkì Farm Business Plan

KLB Consulting was proud to lead the development of a comprehensive Business Plan for Mādahòkì Farm, a 164-acre property operated by Indigenous Experiences (IE), an Indigenous cultural organization committed to cultural revitalization and regenerative tourism. With a focus on strengthening the local tourism economy, the plan aimed to support the Farm’s evolution into a sustainable and inclusive destination grounded in Indigenous values and stewardship.

Working in close collaboration with IE leadership, KLB undertook a multi-phase planning process that included extensive research, asset mapping, community engagement sessions, and strategic analysis. The business plan placed emphasis on sustainable food systems, cultural programming, and the diversification of on-farm revenue streams.

KLB’s approach identified gaps and opportunities through a detailed SWOT and Gap Analysis. Recommendations focused on tourism and experience development, operational planning, data-informed marketing strategies, infrastructure investment, and support for Indigenous entrepreneurs and cultural programmers. The plan was formally accepted by IE in February 2022 and is now guiding future development of the site.

Key Components:

  • Market research, asset mapping, and stakeholder engagement

  • SWOT analysis and Gap assessment to inform growth opportunities

  • Sustainable food system integration and cultural tourism strategy

  • Experience development and infrastructure planning

  • Revenue diversification and operations planning

  • Marketing, branding, and data strategy recommendations

  • Emphasis on diversity, equity, and Indigenous leadership
