Walepole Island First Nation

Walpole Island First Nation, located in southwestern Ontario, Canada, is situated on an island at the mouth of the Saint Clair River on Lake Saint Clair. Walpole Island is noted as the (though disputed) resting place of Tecumseh, the renowned Shawnee leader known for his resistance against American westward expansion. Their mission is to serve their community, with various departments open to the public.
